I have over 10 years of extensive experience in feeding therapy. My experience has spanned a variety settings including pediatric inpatient and outpatient hospitals, private practice, early intervention, and telehealth. My passion lies in collaborating with families and caregivers to create comprehensive plans to address mealtime challenges, food tolerance, and food exploration/acceptance. I enjoy guiding children and their families through the process of integrating feeding therapy techniques into their daily routines, which fosters long-term success. My dedication stems from a commitment to empower children and families to overcome feeding-related obstacles and thrive.

Additional information:

I am a Speech-Language Pathologist that works as a Speech Clinical Manager and Clinical Feeding Specialist in Lubbock, Texas. I received my Clinical Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions with a focus on clinical education and pediatric feeding. I have 16 years of experience in pediatrics with the last 12 years specifically in pediatric feeding. I am certified as a lactation counselor and a Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation provider. I have also completed training programs for kinesio taping for dysphagia, SOS approach, Supporting Oral Feeding in Fragile Infants (SOFFI), myofascial release, and orofacial and myofunctional therapy. Providing quality education for pediatric feeding, specifically to therapists with limited access to mentoring support, became my passion after moving from a large urban area to rural Texas. Seeing the difference in the care that my own premature daughter received and the lack of learning opportunities, led me to begin helping my community by providing education and mentorship to therapists that lacked this support.
