Additional information:

Effective evaluation and treatment of complex feeding difficulties requires the ability to thoroughly address all facets of the problem. This includes assessing the sensory, motor and behavioral aspects, while implementing a family centered plan that utilizes a systematic methodology. Through our strong relationships with other key professionals in the field, we are able to provide a multidisciplinary approach throughout the evaluation and treatment process. This may include the participation of an Occupational Therapist, Registered Dietician and Behavioral Specialist. Lisa Jiannetto-Surrusco, MA, CCC-SLP, Director, is both NY and NJ state-licensed, ASHA Certified, and has been in practice for nearly 18 years. She is trained in the SOS Approach to Feeding, and is regularly contracted by NYCDOE to implement school-based treatment plans city-wide for children with complex feeding issues. Her treatment experience includes, but is not limited to the following: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Failure to Thrive, GT Dependency, Gastrointestinal Disease and Complex Medical Cases (Medically Fragile). Ms. Jiannetto-Surrusco has weekly office hours at Reach for the Stars in Cranford, NJ, and Speech and Language Therapy Associates of Staten Island in Staten Island, NY, where she is most notably known for the creation of the very first 12-week out-patient systematic desensitization feeding program in Staten Island.
