The Occupational Therapist IV will perform evaluation and subsequent planning, execution, and supervision of therapy programs for persons with sensory motor or neuromotor dysfunction.  The Occupational Therapist will participate in intra-disciplinary and interdisciplinary training programs for affiliating students, staff, and community agencies, clinical supervision of OT, OT students, COTAs, and volunteers/aides, and maintain appropriate patient records. The Occupational Therapist IV is responsible for administrative and supervisory responsibilities include ensuring compliance with departmental and organizational policies and procedures, performance appraisals, goals setting, progressive discipline, work/leave schedules and day-to-day workplace interventions and problem resolution.  Responsible for at least one specific clinical/research/administrative component within the Occupational Therapy (OT) Department (i.e. Spina Bifida clinic, Seating clinic, Autism clinic, AT clinic, Downs’ clinic, Rett Syndrome clinic, etc.) and may participate in clinical research within identified program area.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Attend Supervisory Boot camp or related HR sponsored trainings, generally within 6-12 months of promotion.
Must possess and maintain license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Maryland.
Successful completion of national registration exam.
*Individual must demonstrate competence across all age groups due to the diversity of the children and families served by the Institute.
*Clinical care focus is on the neonate, pediatric, and adolescent populations, as well as some adults with disabilities.
EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited program in Occupational Therapy with a minimum basic Master’s in occupational therapy.
EXPERIENCE:
Five years’ licensed OT experience with a focus on the population served at Kennedy Krieger
Completed course work and trainings in leadership, supervision and advanced clinical practice.
