Nut Free Candy Bars

Recommended because:
It can be difficult to find chocolate candy that is nut-free for kids!

Ingredients:

1 cup chocolate chips
2 tsp margarine (optional)
2 cups puffed cereal (like rice puffs)

Directions:

Slightly toast the cereal in a heated pan with no added oil.
Melt chocolate chips using a double-boiler, and add margarine if desired. Stir constantly. Chocolate will become glossy.
Remove from heat and add the toasted cereal. Mix well.
Scoop spoonfuls onto waxed paper; put in refrigerator to cool.
Similar to Hershey’s Crunch bars.
