Feeding + Eating Psychology Summit

The educational program for the 2026 Feeding and Eating Psychology Summit is selected by our planning committee after an open call for abstracts was completed.

Kristin Hathaway, PhD, BCBA-D, Committee Chair

Dr. Kristin Hathaway is a licensed psychologist and doctoral level board certified behavior analyst with experience and training in pediatric feeding disorder and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder. In her current role at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Multidisciplinary Feeding Program, she serves as a case manager in the intensive multidisciplinary program, provides outpatient follow up services, and participates in multidisciplinary team evaluations. She also provides supervision and mentorship for doctoral psychology interns and postdoctoral fellows.

Kirbi Lamb, Parent

Kirbi Lamb is a volunteer with Feeding Matters and Postpartum Support International, bringing nine years of lived experience as a parent of two sons with feeding challenges, including one formally diagnosed with ARFID. She is passionate about supporting parents through this emotionally complex journey and advocating for a family-centered model of care for children with PFD and ARFID.

Claire Larson, OTR/L, SCFES

Claire is a Rehab Clinical Specialist for Children’s Minnesota feeding and swallowing programs. She provides clinical leadership across inpatient and outpatient pediatric rehabilitation, with specialized expertise in sensory and skill based feeding challenges, tube weaning, multidisciplinary care models, and caregiver centered interventions. This is Claire’s first year serving on the Feeding and Eating Psychology Summit Committee with Feeding Matters, and she is excited to contribute to national efforts to advance best practices in pediatric feeding care.

Christina Munro (she/her), LCSW, RYT-200

Christina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in the Chicago-area, where she started her career in schools before transitioning to outpatient practice. She enjoys working with feeding and eating disorders as well as anxiety, OCD, and ADHD. When not working, Christina enjoys doing yoga, crafting, and ballet!

Brittany Starkey, MS, CCC-SLP, CLC

Brittany is a Speech-Language Pathologist, Certified Lactation Counselor, and Clinical Educator with over a decade of clinical experience helping families navigate through the stressors of pediatric feeding disorders. Brittany is a clinician in private practice and focuses on establishing meaningful relationships with her patients and their families. She partners with a local university to educate graduate students on pediatric feeding disorders. Brittany is passionate about sharing her knowledge with families so that they feel supported and empowered during mealtimes.

Lauren Thompson M.Ed., CCC-SLP, CLC, DIR/Floortime Therapist

Lauren Thompson is a Speech-Language Pathologist, Certified Lactation Counselor, and DIR/Floortime Therapist  with over 10 years of clinical experience helping families navigate through the stressors of pediatric feeding disorder and feeding difficulties with families. She is also a mom of 2 girls, both of whom struggled with feeding in infancy. Lauren has a passion for providing trauma-sensitive care and family-centered care that prioritizes evidence-based practice and neurodiversity affirming care. Lauren’s goal is to pass along her knowledge now to families so that they can feel supported and confident when entering into mealtimes.

Kay A. Toomey, PhD

Dr. Kay A. Toomey is a Pediatric Psychologist who has worked with children who don’t eat for over 35 years. She has developed the SOS Approach to Feeding as a family centered program for assessing and treating children with feeding problems. Dr. Toomey speaks nationally and internationally about her approach.

Rachel Wingfield

Rachel Wingfield, PhD

Rachel Wingfield, PhD is a pediatric psychologist and Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Her work is at the Dennis Development Center, outpatient clinics at Arkansas Childrens Hospital, and supporting inpatient behavioral health consultations.
