UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital is a 244-bed, full-service children’s hospital and academic medical center. A trusted leader in pediatric health care for more than 125 years, UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital consistently ranks among the top Children’s hospitals. Our Feeding and Swallowing team consists of pediatric speech language pathologists and occupational therapists. We provide services to hospital inpatients and outpatients with feeding and swallowing difficulties. We collaborate with a range of other health care professionals including but not limited to Pediatricians, ENT & GI specialists, Registered Dieticians, and Pulmonologists to develop a comprehensive plan for each child. We believe in child-centered care and encourage family involvement during evaluation and treatment. Instrumental swallowing assessments in the form of Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) are also available for our inpatients and outpatients.
