SMART Pediatric Therapy is a sensory-based outpatient occupational therapy facility that specializes in sensory processing disorder (SPD). We have several therapists trained in feeding therapy approaches including, but not limited to: Marsha Dunn Klein’s “Get Permission Approach” and “Supporting Anxious Eaters and Their Families;” Dr. Kay Toomey’s “S.O.S. Approach to Feeding;” and Nina Ayd Johanson’s “AEIOU: An Integrated Approach to Pediatric Feeding,” to name a few. We are well-suited for feeding therapy since we address the underlying sensory processing differences that often co-exist with anxious and extremely picky eaters. We work with pediatric mental health specialists who are familiar with the diagnosis of Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). Please visit our Web page for videos of parent testimonials.
