This practice provides home-based feeding/swallowing therapy services by an SLP trained in pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders. We partner with the child’s PCP first and foremost, as well as any other medical specialists the child regularly sees (GI, Pulmonary, RD, Cardiology, Allergy, other therapists). Our treatment philosophy includes treating the whole child using approaches that are best for the individual including extensive caregiver training/coaching, medical management of the child’s underlying medical issues, implementing the SOS approach (owner is SOS trained), and managing negative behaviors in an age-appropriate and family-friendly manner. We hope to have a Feeding Team one day in the future as well (potentially with another SLP or OT with feeding expertise and an RD).
