Additional information:

Feeding is a complex issue and we focus on first identifying the underlying causes of the feeding problems, whether they are medical, structural, developmental, sensory, behavioral, and/or anxiety related so that we can develop the most appropriate feeding therapy approach for each individual child and family. We use a combination of oral motor, sensory integration and SOS feeding approaches to address the specific needs of each child. Our occupational therapists and speech language pathologists involve and train families in the feeding therapy strategies and oral motor intervention, working with them to develop a plan that meets their needs because we understand that the caregivers are the most important part of the process to making progress with feeding. Feeding therapy takes a lot of patience and persistence and we provide support for our families every step of the way.
