Additional information:
Children who have difficulties with feeding and swallowing are assessed by an occupational therapist and/or a speech-language pathologist, depending on the child. Our approach offers a comprehensive look at the child’s oral-pharyngeal structures, oral motor coordination and oral sensory awareness that may be impacting feeding skills. We offer individual and intensive programs for both assessment and treatment with highly specialized therapists. Our program also includes swallow studies, both MBSS and FEES. In addition, we offer Vital Stim Therapy or NMES (neuromuscular electrical stimulation) as a safe and effective treatment option for dysphagia/swallowing disorders, in combination with traditional therapy approaches.
