Jillian Borzain, MOT, OTR/L is a pediatric occupational therapist with extensive experience, trainings, and certifications related to impaired oral intake. Jillian is able to assess and provide direct interventions promoting success with impairments related to feeding skill, psychosocial, medical and nutritional factors, including, but not limited to: oral sensory functioning, oral motor functioning, developmental delays, mental and behavioral health factors, learned feeding aversions, environmental and social factors, and restricted dietary diversity. Therapeutic interventions, consultation, and coaching revolve around promoting homeostasis, sensory integration, expanding oral acceptance and intake, while using a non-pressure, child-led approach. She has experience working with children from infancy until 13+ years of age. Trainings and certifications include: SOS Approach to Feeding (+ advanced coursework), Beckman Oral Motor, Supporting Oral Feeding in Fragile Infants (SOFFI), Get Permission Approach, Talk Tools Sensory Motor Approach to Feeding, DIR Floortime, Infant Massage, and more.
