Cathy Lauderbaugh, M.A., CCC-SLP, has experience supporting feeding skills with children Birth through Elementary-School age. She also contracts through Imagine! in Boulder county and greatly enjoys supporting many different families in their homes and other natural environments. Cathy’s training in feeding therapy includes the SOS Approach to Feeding, as well as oral-motor awareness and coordination skills, with a background in the Beckman approach and the Talk Tools approach. Cathy’s sessions support a child’s internal motivation to learn: the child is choosing to learn more about food and develop a joyful relationship with food. Goals are incorporated from other areas, such as occupational, physical, and behavior therapies, into treatment sessions. Sessions also emphasize the role of the whole family in a child’s learning; Cathy enjoys forming partnerships with families, developing therapy strategies that value input from caregivers and support children in their everyday lives.
