Alyssa has been working as a Speech Language Pathologist in the Gallatin Valley since 2012. She is also a licensed Certified Lactation Counselor. Alyssa’s clinical interests include working with newborns, infants and children with swallowing disorders and feeding difficulties. As a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and recipient of an ACE award for ongoing commitment to lifelong learning, Alyssa has advanced her knowledge in assessment and treatment in infants and children with oral motor deficits, dysphagia, respiratory function challenges, management of complex feeding issues, NICU swallowing and feeding. She also has training in neuro development treatment approaches when working with infants. Alyssa is also trained in orofacial myology. Working in the local hospital setting for almost five years and currently in home health, Alyssa continues to gain additional clinical experience assessing and treating adults with swallowing and an array of speech, language and cognitive difficulties. Alyssa works as part of a multidisciplinary, outpatient team that includes occupational and physical therapists.
