Richard J. Noel, MD, PhD
Credentials: Section Chief, Pediatric GI, Hepatology, and Nutrition, Duke University Medical Center
Dr. Noel was born in Mexico City and grew up in San Antonio, TX. He attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and graduated with an MD/PhD (biochemistry) combined degree in 1998. Following a residency in pediatrics at Wake Forest Medical Center, he received training in pediatric gastroenterology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Part of his training focused on the care of children with complex airway disorders and the interdisciplinary care of children with feeding disorders. Current clinical and research interests include pediatric feeding disorder, eosinophilic diseases of the GI tract, and pediatric endoscopy.
