Feeding Matters is honored to share our 2014 Annual Report with you! It is the support of compassionate people like you that enables an entire community to have a vested interest in conquering pediatric feedings struggles to nourish healthy futures. Please read below for a letter from a family that was directly impacted by the accomplishments of Feeding Matters in 2014:

Dear Supporter,

I want to introduce you to my 3-year-old daughter, Lucy – who suffered through gagging and vomiting with every bite or sip for the first year of her life. She was unable to keep anything down, and she suffered in pain and hunger daily. This was our reality.

Wrought with worry and stress, and not having a treatment let alone a diagnosis – our family was racked with a devastating powerlessness and guilt at not being able to help her. I was truly on the brink of disaster – emotionally and financially – until Feeding Matters gave Lucy a lifeline. Feeding Matters gave us hope and support, including resources to identify a new team of specialists who helped Lucy with different medicine and therapies. Within a month, Lucy’s vomiting completely stopped and Lucy’s health and vitality emerged. She is still 95% tube fed, but we are making tremendous progress.

Feeding Matters continues to provide resources and help to parents like me, at no charge. As you learn more about Feeding Matters’ impact in their 2014 Annual Report, I ask you to make a gift to Feeding Matters. Your contribution will provide the lifeline that one child or family is desperately waiting for.

With deepest gratitude,
Garrett
Lucy's Proud Dad

5th Annual NANT Conference Presentation

Published on May 01, 2015

Feeding Matters recently presented at the 5th Annual National Association of Neonatal Therapists(NANT) Conference, held in Phoenix from April 10-11.

Chris Linn, Executive Director of Feeding Matters, presented in partnership with Dr. Erin Ross on the Importance of Quality Feedings Prior To Discharge From the NICU.  This session discussed specific, evidence-based approaches to feeding infants in the NICU. The presentation also introduced a large audience to Feeding Matters and our flagship tool the Infant and Child Feeding Questionnaire©.

Beyond the presentation, the NANT Conference made it possible to introduce Feeding Matters to several neonatal therapists desperate for the information and services we provide. It was also exciting to see how many people know about Feeding Matters and how many are utilizing our resources in their NICUs!

We are very thankful to NANT for the oppotunity to present at their inspirational Conference. If you would like to know more about the Feeding Matters® Infant and Child Feeding Questionnaire©, please click here.

Update On Our 3rd Annual Arizona Gives Day

Published on April 14, 2015

Feeding Matters participated in Arizona Gives Day on April 7th and raised nearly ten times the amount seen in past years. This much appreciated funding supports Feeding Matters as we continue to grow the scope of programs and services we offer to children, families, and medical professionals. Most importantly, this event was also a great opportunity for Feeding Matters to raise awareness for the prevalence of pediatric feeding struggles not only in the state of Arizona, but throughout the United States and beyond.

Arizona Gives Day is a powerful 24 hour online giving experience that unites Arizonans around causes they believe in. Hosted by the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits and the Arizona Grantmakers Forum, Arizona Gives Day is a great way to generate funding for a wide range of organizations throughout the state. Overall, the 3rd Annual Arizona Gives Day raised over $2 million for organizations based in Arizona.

Feeding Matters is proud to partner with an event that is as focused on improving this community as we are! Thank you to everyone who supported our efforts, we couldn't have done this without you.
