WHAT IS PEDIATRIC FEEDING DISORDER?
Pediatric feeding disorder (PFD) is clinically defined as impaired oral intake that is not age-appropriate and is associated with medical, nutrition, feeding skill, and/or psychosocial dysfunction. PFD afflicts more than 1 in 37 children under the age of 5 the United States.
POSITION SUMMARY
Feeding Matters has an opening for an Administrative Assistant. This position is a full-time, hybrid position based in Arizona. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting the CEO, coordinating the Board of Directors, and project management for select outreach.
Established in 2006, Feeding Matters is the first organization in the world uniting the concerns of families with the field’s leading advocates, experts, and allied healthcare professionals to improve the system of care for pediatric feeding disorder through advocacy, education, support, and research.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
• Provides administrative support for the CEO by scheduling meetings, supporting research, tracking and follow-up.
• Supports the organization’s Board of Directors through taking minutes, scheduling meetings, preparing for meetings, and coordinating onboarding and compliance needs.
• Coordinates the project management database for the organization’s strategic and operations plan.
• Researches, evaluates and identifies organizations that need education on pediatric feeding disorder (PFD).
• Tracks outreach opportunities including program presentations, meetings, and requests.
• Collects, organizes, and reports data and feedback from presentations.
• Tracks program numbers leveraging the organization’s database and google analytics.
• Maintains inventory of marketing collateral.
• Manages collateral requests and mailings.
• Supports program staff as needed.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred but not required)
• Highly organized and a self-starter
• Ability to work with multiple deadlines
• Remarkable attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Data entry and Microsoft Office experience (preferred)
• Must be able to manage company-related information in a confidential manner
