Creating a world in which children with PFD will thrive.
Although 25 to 50 percent of neurotypical children and up to 80% of those with developmental disabilities1 have feeding problems, the broad spectrum of pediatric feeding struggles have long been underserved and misunderstood. Fortunately, for children who suffer from pediatric feeding disorder, the paradigm is shifting.
Established in 2006 by Shannon Goldwater, Feeding Matters is the first organization in the world uniting families, advocates, medical experts, allied healthcare professionals, and the broader community to ignite unprecedented, global change to the system of care through advocacy, education, support, and research – including the unifying term and diagnostic criteria for pediatric feeding disorder.
