CEO Message: Reflecting on 2025

Published by Jaclyn Pederson, MHI, CEO on Dec 18, 2025

Dear Feeding Matters community,

2025 brought no shortage of unpredictability across the nonprofit, healthcare, and research communities. As the year comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on what made progress possible.

The answer is simple: you.

Families, clinicians, partners, advocates, donors, and volunteers: you showed up, again and again. Because of you, this year wasn’t just challenging; it was deeply inspiring. Here are just a few of the milestones your support made possible:

  • Our first in-person International PFD Conference since 2019
  • The launch of our children’s book In My Own Way
  • The Family First Empowerment Cohort for caregivers stuck on long waitlists
  • Our largest PFD & ARFID Awareness Month to date
  • Six new educational modules created with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for primary care providers
  • The expansion of our Community Councils
  • Completion of filming for our documentary, set to release in 2026
  • And so much more.
  • Every accomplishment this year happened because our community refused to give up on families navigating feeding disorders and differences. You can read more about these achievements here.

Thank you for being the heart of this movement. We look forward to continuing this important work with you in 2026.
