PFD & ARFID
Awareness month
Pediatric feeding disorder (PFD) is estimated to affect more than 1 in 37 children under the age of 5 in the United States.
Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) is a mental health condition where an individual persistently avoids or restricts food, unrelated to body image concerns.
Feeding Matters is dedicated to bringing education and awareness to PFD & ARFID to unite the fields of eating disorders and feeding disorders, accelerate identification, ignite research, and promote collaborative care for children and families.
